Cheryl Cole, Singing Leather Fashionista
Cheryl has her own successful solo recording career, which may come in handy since Girls Aloud broke up in early 2013 after one final tour.
Most people, though, probably know Cheryl Cole as a judge for several seasons on the British X-Factor, and then for her very brief tenure as a judge on the American version.
Cheryl left the American version of X-Factor after only three weeks under murky circumstances, and lawsuits ensued. Apparently, she and Simon Cowell are no longer on the best of terms.
While Cheryl stated after the Girls Aloud breakup that she was "gonna take some time now to rest and recover !!," there is no indication that she will just disappear.
In July 2013, Cheryl indicated that she was back with her "first true love," recording, and that meant that she would have a new album on the way eventually. It appeared in November 2014, entitled "Only Human." The album peaked at No. 7 on the British album chart.
Cheryl was married to British football star Ashley Cole from 2004 to 2010. After they divorced, Cheryl at first retained her married name. Later, Cheryl began promoting herself simply as "Cheryl." Thus, some fans know her as simply Cheryl, some as Cheryl Cole, and other as Cheryl Tweedy, her birth name.
"Only Human" spawned two British No. 1 singles, "Crazy Stupid Love" and "I Don't Care." The former was certified Gold, the latter, Silver. The single used as the album's title, however, only hit No. 70 on the UK chart in 2015.

None other than singer Katy Perry is a big fan of Cheryl's work on "X-Factor." Katy said:
The most gorgeous judge is Cheryl. That woman is just edible.
