Amber Laura Heard (born 22 April 1986) is famous for a couple of reasons. First, she is a successful actress who has appeared in a number of successful films and television shows. Second, she married Johnny Depp. Oh, and in addition to all that, she's a down-to-earth Texas girl.

Then, a couple of days later, he filed to avoid paying her spousal support. Two days after that, she filed for and received a restraining order against him alleging among other things that he is violent and abusive and hurt her face by throwing a cellphone at her. Police were called at the time but did not find any evidence at that time of abuse. So far, the drama is just beginning and nobody has to take sides on this even though everyone is going to have an opinion one way or the other. Sounds very sad. A further hearing is scheduled for June 2016.

A Texas girl, Amber occasionally wears leather in private, though she appears to prefer softer fabrics. However, when she does wear it, she does it with taste and refinement. Often, it is just a small piece of a larger ensemble that stands out all the more for being just the right addition to her outfit.
I've worked really hard to bring something more to "pretty girl" roles over the years. I consider it a challenge.
I've had amazing, successful relationships with men, and now I have an amazing, successful relationship with a woman, and the bottom line is I love who I love.

We women still make up like one, maybe two percent of the directors [in Hollywood] and until we make up a bigger or I guess a more significant majority or proportion of the filmmakers or until we have a larger stake in the prospective makers, then we won't accurately accomplish that representation.
I'm looking to find good stories, not big commercial pieces of work.
The last few years have been non-stop for me. I've been going from job to job without even going home in-between jobs for the last year. And I'm doing what I love. I'm enjoying the perks of the job-the travel. I am having a great time being a shapeshifter and I'm really getting a kick out of it. I love my job.
I am constantly struggling to show people that there is more to me than my appearance. You do have to try and overcome those hurdles.
I don't take parts because they're for the sexy girl. I take the sexy girl parts and try to give them something else and make them a character.
There's two categories for women in Hollywood; you're either sexy and that's it, or you're not and because of that you often get given better opportunities.
I would love to see women be able to be powerful, complex, smart, opinionated and taken seriously, even if they are beautiful. Even more, I would love to see women held to different standards, other than the superficial ones that we're held to.
I'm strong, I'm smart, I'm not a victim, to my detriment.
You can't respect yourself if you're afraid to be who you are.
It requires bravery to do something no one else around you is doing.
All I've ever needed is myself.
Once you start working out, you feel better and it becomes something you make time to do.
I grew up driving old pickup trucks on the ranch with my dad, and I still always myself driving like I'm out in an open field, except I'm in LA on La Cienega in the middle of rush hour.
I have always been very rebellious and gone against the grain. I've always challenged the standards set before me.
