Speed and Gravity Keep Sandra Bullock On Top
Sandra Annette Bullock (born July 26, 1964) is an American actress, producer, restaurant owner and occasional model. She has been a fixture in Hollywood for a quarter of a century, and is claimed to be world's highest-paid actress.
Sandra Bullock successfully carries films of all kinds, and won an Academy Award for "The Blind Side" (2009). She remains at the top of the Hollywood heap.
Sandra was born just outside Washington, D.C., in Arlington, Virginia. She is of English, Irish, German and French ancestry. She is fluent in German, and spent a great deal of time in Europe while accompanying her mother, a German opera singer, on tour.
As a teenager, Sandra took acting classes with Sanford Meisner and appeared off-broadway in "No Time Flat." The director, Alan J. Levi, liked her performance and cast her in his television movie "Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman" (1989).

That role lead to a string of leading roles, such as "Love Potion No. 9" (1992) and "Demolition Man" (1993). Sandra Bullock was on her way.
Sandra's true breakthrough, though, came in "Speed" (1994), in which she starred as a passenger who must drive a bus above a certain speed to prevent a bomb from going off.
After that, the door was open to fantastic leading roles for Sandra Bullock. She starred in classics such as "While You Were Sleeping" (1995), "Miss Congeniality" (2000), "Two Weeks Notice" (2002) and "The Proposal" (2009), all successful.
Bullock won her Oscar for "The Blind Side" (2009), a film that she carried alone and that grossed over $300 million in the United States alone. Sandra Bullock continues to release wonderful films, such as "The Heat" (2013) and "Gravity" (2013). "Gravity" was a huge success, earning $716 million at the box office worldwide and nabbing Bullock an Oscar nomination for Best Actress.
Also famous for her relationships, Sandra Bullock was notably blind-sided right after winning her Oscar by news that her then-husband, Jesse James, had been cheating on her. It turned into a major scandal. They quickly divorced.
Sandra Bullock began to produce her own films in the mid-1990s. She produced, among other films, "Hope Floats" (1998), "Miss Congeniality" (2000), "Two Weeks Notice" (2002) and "The Proposal" (2009). Sandra apparently knew Donald Trump, and borrowed his personal helicopter for scenes in "Two Weeks Notice" (The Donald made a cameo appearance as himself).
I've always been very sceptical about marriage, because I only want to do it once; I want to do it the right way.Sandra married Jesse James in July 2005, and divorced him in June 2010 after accusations that he had cheated on her. Sandra received a lot of attention in the tabloids about this notorious incident.
I'd rather take risks than make something that's cookie cutter.
I've learned that success comes in a very prickly package. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you. It's what you choose to do with it, the people you choose to surround yourself with. Always choose people that are better than you. Always choose people that challenge you and are smarter than you. Always be the student. Once you find yourself to be the teacher, you've lost it.
Movie sex scenes are never romantic, and you're never swept off your feet. It's always very technical. I'm counting the beats: Okay, we're supposed to kiss for two beats, then I say my line, then they want another kiss for four beats. I'm going, One Mississippi, two Mississippi, three and break. It's like choreography. Sometimes, you have actors who feel it's their job to get as far down into your throat as possible. You're like, Excuse me, I like you, but not that much.
What everyone needs is love, unconditionally.
I cry at everything now... I've become more open to surprises and feelings.
Everyone told me to pass on Speed (1994) because it was a "bus movie."

It's so funny, all these references about competition. Why is there plenty of room for guys in this business and they don't pit them up against each other? It's so stupid. There's room for everybody.
