Blake Lively is the Gossip Girl
Blake Ellender Lively (born Blake Ellender Brown; August 25, 1987) is an American actress and model. She has starred in a variety of popular films, but is most famous for playing Serena van der Woodsen in the television teen drama series "Gossip Girl."
A native of Tarzana, California, Blake Lively began acting as a child in "Sandman," a 1998 feature film directed by her father, Ernie Lively.
Later, she starred in the successful, classic chick flick "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants" (2005) and its sequel "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants 2" (2008), the latter of which earned her a Teen Choice Award nomination. Since, Blake has won two Teen Choice Awards, a People's Choice Award, and a National Board of Review award (an ensemble award for "The Town" (2010)).
After that came the teen slacker comedy "Accepted" (2006), and the attention she was receiving led to her casting in the 2007 "Gossip Girl" series.
Further film roles such as "Green Lantern" followed while filming the television series.
The "Gossip Girl" character puts Blake into a variety of trendy leather outfits. Rather than high couture or something weird, the leather outfits tend to be fashionable, but with a sense of style that practically anybody can copy. Wearing classy leather outfits in ordinary settings gives Blake's leather styling a slightly different feel than many of the other leather girls we look at.
Modelling also is part of Blake's repertoire, having gotten covers for "Cosmo Girl" and other magazines.
Blake Lively also loves to cook, and has studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris.
Married to Ryan Reynolds since 2012, Blake spends her free time in suburban Bedford, New York.
Blake and Ryan have two children: James and Ines, both daughters.
Blake won a People's Choice Award in 2017 for Favorite Dramatic Actress for her performance in "The Shallows."
Blake won a Teen Choice Award in 2011 as Choice TV Actress Drama for "Gossip Girl." She also won the same award in 2008, as well as a Choice TV Breakout Star - Female that year.
Blake has hosted Saturday Night Live three times, all between 2008 - 2010.
Blake was in Gucci's "Climate for Change" campaign in 2013, devoted to women's issues.
Blake is very interested in food preparation, and even worked as a pastry chef for a time at Per Se restaurant in New York City at the height of her fame in "Gossip Girl."
Blake was No. 4 on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 Women list of 2010.
I want babies. Lots of babies. Of course!
I've kissed just three people in my life, other than stuff I have done for TV or movies. I know, I'm weird! I hope Brad Pitt doesn't hear this, he is never going to want to marry me!
I was raised in California, so this whole New York winter thing is completely new for me. I've already justified buying seven coats!
Yeah, I don't comment on my relationships... My anonymity is something I treasure. Wanting to be an actor and wanting to be famous are different.
I'm not in the business of trying to win the approval of my cast members, my director, or my audience. If I were, I'd be so beaten down by insecurity that I'd never be able to perform. The only person I'm trying to prove something to is myself.
I feel like there are so many people I admire for so many reasons that I can't look at one person's life and say, "I want that life." I want to make my own history.
People say, 'Well, whose career do you follow? Where do you see your career going? What movie do you want to do next?' And I can't tell you what type of movie I would go and do next. I would have to read the script and feel for a character. And if I feel in my gut for a character, I know that that's somebody I have to play.

When I have bad days, I just eat lots of chocolate ice cream and dance to the 'Lion King' soundtrack. It's really odd, but it's true.
Newspapers say a lot of stuff, don't they? Though I wish I could afford half the places that I hear I'm looking at. Sign me up!
I don't drink. I don't do drugs. I grew up with the mindset that after work you go to dinner and watch a movie. I don't want to go to a club and not wear panties.
You know, women are always pit against each other, and there is room for everyone. And if someone else is going to get it, there's no way I'm going to get it, and if I'm going to get it, no one else--everyone is very different. So I just think it's kind of nasty the way people are pit against each other.
My mom liked to infuse my life with a lot of magic. When she read my fortune cookies, the predictions were full of princesses and castles and jewels and pirates. When I got old enough to read them, I was shocked to find out how boring they really were.
