Waif Legend Susan Eldridge
Susan appeared in a memorable commercial for Victoria's Secret and did a lot of other fine work that propelled her to the top of the modeling world.
Susan is from Santa Clara, California. She took part in the Model Search contest in Seattle, Washington. This led her to move to New York and sign with Elite Model Management.

In fact, looking at them now, you see just how original and pointed they were in terms of creating a unique youthful look. It heavily emphasized her tween image, with lots of Mickey Mouse ears and the like.
Susan's covers include
- UK: The Face - January 2004; 'Elle' - March 2005
- Russia: 'Vogue' - August 2004
Susan is famous for being the muse of famed photographer Terry Richardson, who of course remains the most renowned photographer in the business (ok, maybe not "of course" the most renowned, but you have to admit he's up there). She also has worked with Ellen von Unwerth, Mario Testino and other big-name photographers you probably have heard of.
Susan and Terry Richardson were dating at one time but apparently broke up around 2004. While they were together, they produced some of the most intriguing shots of the era. Terry and Susan have worked together since then, too, apparently. However, nothing very recent that I can find, but there is no word on whether Susan has retired.
Susan always kind of blurred the lines. She sort of straddled milieus. In a good way. Very free-spirited. So free-spirited, in fact, that I can't show you Susan's best work because it is a bit risqué. I think she called her style a "California vibe." Whatever it was, it worked.

Susan kind of disappeared for a few years after she broke up with Terry. Perhaps a kinder issue (I like to show off with obscure references). She then made a bit of a comeback in 2010-2011, walking in the really big shows again. Since then, though, Susan has lowered her profile once more.
Let's be real: modeling is a tough, cut-throat business. It's tough to pull off the youthful look as you push 40. Heck, most models can't do it when they're 30. But while they can - it makes an impact.
Susan apparently has three children and still models (maybe). It is tough to get recent information on her. Some models like their privacy. No reason to dig too deep for stuff like that. If she makes a splash again, we'll know.
Anyway, Susan still has fans and always will. I'm sure they wonder what's up with her. If she ever wants to raise her profile again, she'd make a lot of folks happy.
We wish Susan well, wherever she is and whatever she is doing.
Susan apparently took the picture on her 2010 model card, below, herself. She still had that impish look.
