Stephanie Michelle Seymour (born July 23, 1968), more commonly known as just Stephanie Seymour, is one of the Victoria's Secret supermodels who transcended modelling. Stephanie is known as much for the company that she keeps as for her career, though her career is stellar as well.

The cream of the crop during the golden age of supermodels in the late '80s and '90s, Stephanie showed "how it's done" and remains one of the most famous models of them all. Stephanie continues to have an interesting life, and we'll get into that below, too.
Let's get to know Stephanie Seymour a little bit better.
Stephanie was born in San Diego, California, and began doing some local modelling. Her mother was a photographer and used young Stephanie as a handy model. She entered the Elite Model Management Look of the Year contest in 1983 and was a finalist, winning the competition.
Around the time of the Elite Model Look contest (as it is now called), Stephanie hooked up with John Casablancas. He was the head of Elite at the time.
Stephanie's career quickly took off with Casablancas' help. She became an icon of the '80s, along with Christie Brinkley and other top supermodels.
Stephanie had become a top cover girl by the late '80s around the world. Here are some of her US covers:
US: 'Mademoiselle' - June 1989; 'Allure' - March 1991; 'Allure' - May 1991; 'Playboy' - February 1993; 'Vogue' - April 1993; 'W' - May 1994; 'Vogue' - February 1995; 'Elle TopModel' - #11 1996, 'Cosmopolitan' - January 1997; 'Allure' - August 1998; 'W' - August 1998; 'Vogue' - November 1999; 'Self' - March 2000; 'W' - October 2000; 'Self' - November 2000; 'Self' - July 2001; 'Surface' - March 2002; 'W' - August 2002; 'Self' - April 2003; 'Hamptons' - August 2008; 'Town & Country' - August 2008; 'Town & Country' - May 2011
Stephanie was a regular in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues (1988, 1989 and 1991). She also became an early top Victoria's Secret Catalog model along with other future stars such as Geena Davis.
Stephanie continues to model and was in the 2015 Spring/Summer Barney's New York campaign.
Stephanie wrote a fashion book, "Stephanie Seymour's Beauty Secrets for Dummies, in 1998. She appeared on Leno to promote it.
In the late '80s, Stephanie was married to guitarist Tommy Andrews. They had a son, Dylan, together. They had split by 1990.
Stephanie then hooked up with Axl Rose when Guns N' Roses was at its peak. They became engaged, and Stephanie appeared in Guns N' Roses music videos ("Don't Cry" and "November Rain"). This was the height of Stephanie Seymour's fame, as Guns N' Roses was hot as a pistol while she was involved with the group. She was associated with the group and Axl for several years, which matched almost exactly the group's period of greatest celebrity.
Stephanie's affair with Axl ended badly after several years. He accused her of being unfaithful, then sued her for assaulting him and some related things. Axl also said that they had been engaged, which she denied when she counter-sued Axl for assault.
Stephanie rebounded quickly with Peter Brant, a very wealthy man sometimes called a billionaire. They married in July 1995 in Paris and are based in Connecticut.
Stephanie and Peter have three children, two sons (Peter II and Harry) and a daughter (Lily Margaret).
Stephanie and Brant remain married, but they have had an up-and-down relationship.
Seymour filed for divorce from Brant in 2009. Seymour claimed Brant changed the locks on her, hired a nanny to spy on her and intimidated their children to turn them against her. Brant, in turn, accused Seymour of infidelity, drug and alcohol abuse, and spending sprees.

Stephanie has a tattoo around her ankle, which you can just barely see in the above picture.
Stephanie has done some acting now and then, and was in the film "Pollock" and an episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent."
Stephanie received a lot of publicity in Spring 2011 when she was photographed in what at first glance appeared to be compromising pictures with her son, Peter II. The shots showed the pair kissing and hugging on a secluded beach.
The two immediately came out with differing explanations about what had caused the show of affection. Peter said he couldn't be romancing his mother "because I'm openly gay," whereas Stephanie says her son was just being nice to her because she was insecure about putting on ten pounds and needed to feel loved.
Thus, Peter pretended to be a movie star romancing her on screen. It was all he-said she-said who-knows-what-is-really-going-on, but they were both adamant that they weren't smooching for real. These days, who knows, maybe that would just be considered breaking new ground for a famous supermodel. But everyone denies that it was, you know, real smooching.
Anyway, moving on, Stephanie had the honor of appearing in the 'Sports Illustrated Knockouts: Five Decades of Swimsuit Photography' book along with other top supermodels.
Stephanie was featured in Playboy Magazine in March 1991 and February 1993.
Stephanie had an editorial in the September 2011 Elle USA.
