She was photographed by some of the best in the business and was widely recognized for her raw beauty.
However, these days, quality pictures of Neith Hunter are surprisingly scarce.
Neith is from Angwin, California, near San Francisco, in the wine country north of Napa.
Neith attended Galileo High School, and quickly found a niche for herself in the art world.
Neith was discovered by John Casablancas, and then by Hubert de Givenchy himself. Neith quickly became widely known in the fashion scene for her work for Givenchy and Victoria's Secret.
Neith was at one time the girlfriend and muse of sculptor Robert Graham, and has been photographed by Herb Ritts and Mario Testino.
Pretty much everybody knows the top photographers. If you aren't familiar with those names, rest assured they are about as big as you get in those fields.
Neith did a lot of work for Givenchy, and in her time also did numerous editorials and covers.
Neith quickly took to acting, though, appearing as 'Doll' in a 1986 episode of 'Mike Hammer.' This led to a string of appearances in the top series and independent films of the day, such as 'Miami Vice' and the soap opera 'One Life to Live.' Neith specialized in horror films, and soon made her mark in films such as 'Fright Night Part 2' and 'Silent Night, Deadly Night 4.'
Neith Hunter also was in several television episodes of "Silk Stalkings" as Gayla Everett
Neith also made a couple of appearances on "The Red Shoe Diaries" with David Duchovny (well before "The X Files").
Neith will be remembered both for her acting (she was in the Daniel Mann acting troupe) and her association with some of the top talents of the day that she inspired.
Neith was the model in Herb Ritts' renowned 'Neith with Tumbleweed' and 'Neith with Shadows' in his book 'Men/Women,' and she also was in coffee-table books from Matthew Rolston and Gian Paolo Barbieri.

Some of Robert Graham's most prominent sculptures, such as the Duke Ellington memorial in Central Park, were created using Neith as a model and inspiration. Friend Helmut Newton introduced the two.
Neith appears to be retired from both acting and modelling. She received her BFA degree in 2002 from the California Institute for the Arts.
Neith married Warren Fahy in 2009.
Neith has one child, with songwriter Andrew Scandal.
We're sure Neith is as feisty and glamorous as ever despite being out of the limelight recently.
Neither is one of those '80s natural beauties like Kelly LeBrock who burst on the scene, lit up their fans' lives, and then went on to live their lives. Good for them, they brought a lot of joy to others.
The Diane Pernet Pictures of Neith Hunter
The following pictures are from Diane Pernet's page. Pernet was a designer who calls Neith Hunter "her muse" - apparently, Neith fulfilled that role for numerous '80s artists. Pernet recalls having her then-boyfriend Jean Marie Guyaux photograph Neith Hunter in private sessions from 1982-1986, until Herb Ritts "discovered" Pernet and Neith obviously favored the glamour look of the 1930s as exemplified by stars such as Carole Lombard, and Neith pulled that off phenomenally well. Neith. Diane has other great photos of Neith and her page is well worth visiting by all Neith Hunter fans.
