Michelle Alves (born September 19, 1978) is a Brazilian model who twice walked the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. She also appeared in two editions of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Michelle Alves has appeared on many, many fashion magazine covers. She has worked with the best fashion photographers in the business, including Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Bruce Weber, Gilles Bensimon, Mario Sorrenti, Nick Knight, Steven Klein, Phil Poynter, Walter Chin, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and Richard Avedon.
According to her website, Michelle is known as "The Body." Of course, several top supermodels have that nickname, most famously Heidi Klum and Elle. Michelle came to fame after photographer Steven Meisel shot her in Italy for the cover of Vogue Italy.
Later, Michelle became the face for Yves Saint Laurent’s new fragrance Cinéma in 2005. All of that set her on a path to stardom.
As with all top Brazilian models, Michelle looks stunning in swimsuits. With her classic good looks, it is obvious from her photos why she is a favorite of fashion photographers.
Michelle has brown hair and green eyes and lives in Los Angeles. She stands 5 ft 10 1/2 inches and is married to Guy Oseary, with whom she has several children.
