Kylie is from Simi Valley, California and grew up Las Vegas, Nevada. Her father was a professional poker dealer, and Kylie became interested in the entertainment world at an early age. When she was eight she won a casting call at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, and after that friends kept suggesting that she become a professional model.
Kylie became interested in religion when, at age 15, a friend invited her to a church youth group party and she became Christian. At age 18, she met Mike Bisutti, and they were married in Cabo San Lucas in 2009.
An extremely attractive girl, Kylie moved to New York City at age 16 to pursue her dream of a modelling career. She entered and won the high-profile 2009 "Victoria's Secret Model Search" competition, broadcast online through CBS and concluded during the December 1st airing of that year's Fashion Show. Part of her reward was that she walked at the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. The woman that Kylie beat, Jamie Lee Darley, also appeared in that show, though Darley's appearance was not televised.
Kylie made appearances in the usual lads magazines, FHM and Maxim. After a while, though, her faith became a higher priority than modelling, and in 2012 she quit modelling. The following year, Kylie released her memoir, "I'm No Angel: From Victoria's Secret Model to Role Model," which dealt with her decision to quit modelling because of what she saw as its conflicts with her religion.

In her autobiography, Kylie claimed that modelling was an unhealthy lifestyle both physically and spiritually. She tweeted, "I quit being a VS model to be a Proverbs 31 wife." Well... so there! Now, you may be wondering exactly what a "Proverbs 31 wife" is (I was), so here is the summary from... Proverbs 31:
The Woman Who Fears the Lord
10 An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
11 The heart of her husband trusts in her,
and he will have no lack of gain.
12 She does him good, and not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She seeks wool and flax,
and works with willing hands.
14 She is like the ships of the merchant;
she brings her food from afar.
15 She rises while it is yet night
and provides food for her household
and portions for her maidens.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard.
17 She dresses herself with strength
and makes her arms strong.
18 She perceives that her merchandise is profitable.
Her lamp does not go out at night.
19 She puts her hands to the distaff,
and her hands hold the spindle.
20 She opens her hand to the poor
and reaches out her hands to the needy.
21 She is not afraid of snow for her household,
for all her household are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes bed coverings for herself;
her clothing is efine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is known in the gates
when he sits among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them;
she delivers sashes to the merchant.
25 Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
26 She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.
27 She looks well to the ways of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Give her of the fruit of her hands,
and let her works praise her in the gates.
Victoria's Secret, meanwhile, disputed several of Kylie's assertions both in her autobiography and her public utterances. Victoria's Secret claimed in essence that they had barely even heard of Kylie Bisutti despite the fact that she had walked in the 2009 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. In relevant part, the Victoria's Secret statement read:
"She was never a Victoria's Secret 'Angel' as defined by the terms of our Angel model contract. And contrary to Ms. Bisutti's claims, she was never offered any subsequent modeling contracts or opportunities with Victoria's Secret despite her multiple appeals for further work."Just to be clear, just being one of the 50 or so models who walk in a Victoria's Secret show every year does not make one an "Angel." Kylie Bisutti was never an "Angel." That is a very precise term used by the organization for a much smaller group of models, usually less than a dozen, who are under special individual appearance contracts. This may seem like a minor detail, but in the world of fashion it is a huge distinction. So, it is safe to say that there is no love lost between Kylie Bisutti and the Victoria's Secret organization at this point.
Kylie now lives in Montana and has launched a clothing line designed to promote modesty. She stated that:
"Today, I'm focused on creating a Christian clothing line, speaking tours and my blog, imnoangel.org. My clothing line comes out next month, and it will feature models of all shapes and sizes promoting our modest clothes," she said. "I want girls to see people who look like them, so they feel good about themselves."
Kylie Bisutti is hardly the only Christian model or Victoria's Secret runway walker. One of the most famous Angels of all, Adriana Lima, for instance, has stated that she brings a Bible with her to runway events. There are many others with similar devotion to their faiths, whatever they may be. So, it is not like Kylie Bisutti is some rare exotic bird, the only innocent in a mob of heathen. That would be a huge distortion of the facts of the matter.
However, Kylie Bisutti is perhaps the most outspoken model about her Christian faith. Needless to say, Kylie Bisutti has become a huge role model to some women for her outspoken principles. On the other hand, Kylie also has become an absolute pariah in other corners of the modelling world, where she is seen as being a showboat who has used her Victoria's Secret image for her own benefit. Everybody has an opinion about Kylie Bisutti.
One thing is for certain: Kylie Bisutti is a beautiful woman who does it her way.
