Hottest Starlet in Hollywood
Kaley Christine Cuoco-Sweeting, usually referred to as Kaley Cuoco (born 30 November 1985) is one of the hottest stars in Hollywood. While barely in her 30s, she already has appeared in two hit series, and it is fair to say that she was a very large part of why they were hits at all.
Let's learn a bit about Kaley.
Kaley is a California girl, born in Camarillo, and is of Italian and English/German descent.
Kaley's first success wasn't acting, but tennis. She was a regionally ranked player until she stopped playing at the age of 16.
Kaley began acting at a young age, in her single digits. At first she did commercials. Her first credit was in a 1995 action thriller, "Virtuosity."
Television work followed, such as an appearance in "Ladies Man."
She portrayed Marcia Brady actress Maureen McCormick in "Growing Up Brady" on television in 2000.
Some other low-profile work followed, and then Kaley got her big break on "8 Simple Rules," an ABC comedy starring John Ritter. The show lasted for three seasons.
Some other television followed, such as the NBC miniseries "10.5."
Kaley appeared on "Charmed" as a powerful witch. She made quite an impression, but a possible spin-off series for her never materialized.
At that point, Kaley got her next big break, being cast as Penny on "The Big Bang Theory" in 2007.
"Big Bang" ran for ten seasons and established Kaley as one of the hottest stars in Hollywood.
Along the way, Penny, I mean Kaley, broke her leg whilst horseback riding. She only missed two episodes.
Kaley has acted in other productions during her downtime from "Big Bang," such as in the films "Hop" and "The Last Ride."
Cuoco dated her costar Johnny Galecki while they were dating on the show, but when their characters broke it off, so did they. It must have been a coincidence.
Kaley eventually wound up marrying tennis player Ryan Sweeting and hyphenated her name with his.
However, things eventually turned rocky, and apparently they have broken up after less than two years of marriage.
Kaley was home-schooled because her early fame alienated her from other students, who gave her a hard time.
Kaley graduated from high school early, at age 16.
Kaley loved working with John Ritter and was devastated by his passing in 2003. “Working with [John Ritter] showed me that I loved sitcoms.”
Kaley married Sweeting on New Year's Eve 2013. She wore a pink dress.
Kaley was in "The Wedding Ringer" in 2015. She also did the voice of Eleanor Miller in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip."
Kaley's salary increased astronomically during the run of "Big Bang." For the first several seasons, she earned $60k per episode. That increased to $200k after the actors jointly negotiated a raise. Ultimately, she earned $1 million per episode, which is "Seinfeld" money.
Kaley's hairstyle is a big deal. When she got it cut for a movie in 2014, the "Big Bang" writers wrote it into the script. Every time she gets a new cut, people notice, like when Jennifer Aniston was on "Friends."
Kaley loves to play ping pong. She bought a set so she could play on set.
Kaley's phone was hacked in August 2014.
Kaley has a younger sister, Briana, who appeared on "The Voice" in 2013.
